Graduation, commencement, both signify the completion of an educational milestone; the close of one chapter in an individual's life and the start of something new.  As the final examinations and state test come to an end and before the next endeavor begins, take the time to carouse the current success at hand.  June is just around the corner, so parents if your student has completed an educational step, whether it is kindergarten, elementary, middle school, high school or college, take the time to celebrate before your student begins the next journey to prepare for the future. Help them celebrate the present strides made, for Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant."

A celebration does not have to be complicated or cost an exuberant amount o money.  Keep it simple with dinner or an afternoon outing.  The purpose is to help your student acknowledge a milestone and continue on the path of success.  The Salt Creek Grille in Valencia http://www.saltcreekgrille.com can accommodate a small or large party with indoor and patio seating.  The menu is comprised of American cuisine, including hamburgers to delectable seafood and pasta.  This venue is one the graduate will not soon forget, while the prices are fairly reasonable.

If a day outing is more appealing a local show presented by the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center is an option.  On June 12th, Cinderella is playing and it is wonderful for a family to celebrate a milestone and the positive dynamics of the family while viewing this classic.  So, remember commemorate the present as summer emerges;one milestone ends and another is soon to begin.  Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."  The drive, intelligence and determination helped your student reach this far, so celebrate!
