One man was shot in the face and another killed in a double shooting Saturday night in Jonesboro.
Police on Sunday were still searching for the shooter who apparently knew at least one of the victims. So far, they have not determined the motive.
The shootings happened at a home at 8200 Queens Drive, according to Clayton County police.
Investigators said the suspect walked up to the victim’s door while calling out the victim’s name.
The victim went to the door to find out who was calling his name, police spokeswoman Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said.
“He saw who the suspect was and tried to shut the door,” Officer Watson-Fraser said. “The suspect shot him in the face. He shot another person in the house in the abdomen and that person died at the scene.”
The shooter then fled the scene. So far, police have not released the names of the victims.
