One man was killed and another arrested in a shooting that happened Christmas night at an apartment complex in Sandy Springs.

And police said the Wednesday night shooting was over money owed.

Around 6 p.m., officers responded to the Park at Dunwoody Apartments at 1079 Brentwood Way after getting a 911 call about a shooing, according to Sandy Springs police. They did not say who made the call.

When officers arrived they found the wounded victim and his alleged shooter. Mr. Gregory Parson, 24, of Atlanta, had been shot in the stomach, police spokesman Capt. Steve Rose said.

Mr. Parson was transported to North Fulton Hospital where he died around 10 p.m., Capt. Rose said.

Police detained the suspect at the scene for questioning. Mr. Demetrius Dunn, 25, of Clayton County, was later arrested and charged with murder, Capt. Rose said. It's unclear how much money was owed or why.
