One last hot day

Weather Forecaster Daniel Johnson

After highs in the low 90s once again on Friday, we are about to experience much cooler temperatures across the region. But we first have to get through one last hot day, however. Saturday should bring abundant sunshine with highs around 90 degrees. There is a chance for perhaps a spotty shower or thunderstorm by late in the day. A better chance for rain, however, will exist along a cold front Saturday night into Sunday morning. An isolated severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out; however most of the thunderstorms should be decreasing in intensity by the time they arrive here.

Sunday may start with a leftover shower or thunderstorm, and then we’ll see a mix of sunshine and clouds with highs in the mid 80s. An upper level low will get cut off from the main flow as we head into early next week. Monday and Tuesday will both feature a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms with highs in the low 80s. We’ll be back into the mid 80s on Wednesday with partly cloudy skies.
