One man was killed and two others critically injured in a triple shooting Thursday night in DeKalb County. And police on Friday said they were trying to locate the original crime scene since the victims were found in two separate locations.
So far, police have no suspect and no motive in the incident. And officials have not yet released the victims’ names since they were still trying to notify next of kin.
The investigation began around 9:45 p.m. when officers responded to 1510 Key Road after getting a report of shots fired, according to DeKalb County police.
When officers arrived they found a Silver Nissan Sentra overturned at the location, police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said. A man was found dead inside car and investigators later determined that he died from a gunshot wound, Parish said.
She did not say where on the body the man was shot or where in the car he was found.
Officers found a second man outside the car, Parish said. The 28-year-old victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he remained in critical condition late Friday afternoon, police said. She did not release any details on his injuries.
A third person, who investigators believe was connected to the crime scene, was found outside a home at 1420 Foxhall Lane, Parish said. The 18-year-old had been shot multiple times and was listed in critical condition late Friday, she said.
Investigators did not release any details on how the teen got to the location.
Detectives on Friday were questioning a fourth person who was located near the scene, Parish said. The 32-year-old man was not injured and police were trying to determine what he was doing at the scene and if he was involved in the shooting, Parish said.
“Detectives are working to determine where the shooting took place,” Parish said.
