One Direction visits Sesame Street and teaches kids about letter 'U'

One Direction has fans of the British band very excited for their upcoming performance. While the guys might not be on tour quite yet, they did manage to stop by “Sesame Street” to sing about the letter “U.” One Direction joins a list of popular stars that will be heading to the Children’s Television Workshop to teach the kids. According to Gossip Cop on Tuesday, the stars released a sneak peek of their time on the children’s show.

Here's a preview of @onedirection's upcoming ‘Sesame Street’ appearance, brought to you by the letter U!” tweeted One Direction from their official Twitter account.

Attaching a snippet of the show, the teaser shows Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson singing while describing the sounds of the letter “U.”

"Sesame Street" has a special anniversary in the upcoming season. Celebrating 45 years of teaching kids, the 2014-15 season has a variety of celebrities lined up to share in the fun, including Tina Fey, Janelle Monae, Macklemore and of course, One Direction.

The One Direction performance was originally announced last year during a special taping while the guys were in New York City. Now that the new season of the popular show has been revealed, it seems only natural that the kids get excited about their stars and learning a few new words.
