One Direction sweeps BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards with 3 awards

One Direction’s Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were on stage more than once on Sunday. The popular British boy band took home three awards after the fans decided who was the best. From the time One Direction arrived on the red carpet on Sunday until they left, the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards was all about the lads.

Taking home the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards for Best Single, Best Album and Best Music Act, it was really obvious the guys are now noted as one of the best boy bands in the country. Even though the guys have received awards before, the five men looked quite humble on stage as they accepted the trophies.

“This is absolutely amazing. We have to start off by thanking our incredible fans, it’s been an unbelievable two years for us,” said One Direction accepting the honors on stage. While the band is still rather young, the entertainers have captured the hearts of the ladies and there is no stopping on the success.

One of the featured entertainers at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards held at the Wembley Arena, the lads were accompanied by Little Mix and Taylor Swift. Of course it is safe to say that One Direction was the band that swept the award show with the most awards (and the loudest screams.)
