One Direction's 3D concert movie gets a new teaser trailer

I know next to nothing about One Direction, but they're apparently really popular. Right now. We'll see how they're doing at this time next year. The band was discovered by Simon Cowell during his U.K version of The X-Factor, and they've gone on to sell millions of records. You know they've become mainstream pop culture icons because they've caught the attention of documentarian, Morgan Spurlock, who directs 1D3D, their new concert movie.

The teaser trailer for 1D3D has been released, and it's about what you'd expect. Lots of screaming girls and snippets of what we can assume are really deep reflections from the five-boy group, while their hit "Live While We're Young" scores the background. It doesn't really look like anything Spurlock's done before, as this looks more like a fan piece than his usual tearing down of industry.

1D3D opens on August 30th.
