As previously reported, One Direction is performing at the 2013 American Music Awards (AMAs) on Nov. 24 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. As previously reported, One Direction's second album, "Take Me Home," has been nominated for Favorite Album - Pop/Rock. The other nominees in the category are Taylor Swift's "Red" and Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience." One Direction is also nominated for Favorite Band, Duo or Group, a category whose other nominees are Imagine Dragons and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. ABC will have the U.S. telecast of 2013 AMAs. The three-hour show begins at 8 p.m. EST.

"Story of My Life" went on sale on Oct. 28, 2013, and debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in several countries. In the U.K., "Story of My Life" debuted at No. 4 on the singles chart.

"Best Song Ever," the first single from "Midnight Memories," was a Top 10 hit in several countries when it was released in July 2013.
One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010, and is the best-selling act to emerge from "The X Factor." According to Sony Music, as of October 2013, One Direction has sold 32 million singles, albums and DVDs worldwide.
One Direction's first stadium tour in 2014 has announced concerts in South America and Europe. More tour dates are to be announced.
