On January 24, 2013, several "X Factor" U.K. stars attended a Raymond Weil pre-Brit Awards party, hosted by Labrinth at Labrinth's Mosaica restaurant in London.
The "X Factor" stars in attendance were:
- Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne of One Direction (third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010)
- Alexandra Burke (winner of "The X Factor" U.K. in 2008)
- JB Gill and Oritsé Williams of JLS (second place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2008)
- James Arthur (winner of "The X Factor" U.K. in 2012)
It was also date night for Tomlinson, Gill and Williams, who brought their girlfriends to the event. Tomlinson and University of Manchester studentt Eleanor Calder have been dating since late 2011. Gill and dancer Chloe Tangney have been together since 2008. Williams and Amy Jane from the group Via (which is managed by Williams) went public with their romance in August 2012.
As previously reported, One Direction, Arthur and Olly Murs are the "X Factor" stars nominated for prizes at the 2013 Brit Awards, which take place on February 20 at the O2 Arena in London. One Direction is nominated for Best British Band and Best Brits Global Success. Murs is nominated for Best British Male Solo Artist and Best British Single (for "Troublemaker" featuring Flo Rida). Arthur's cover version of Shontelle's "Impossible" is nominated for Best British Single. One Direction is one of the performers at the awards show.
