One Direction planning to release 'Where We Are' concert film

The British band One Direction have become a phenomenon around the world with fans literally salivating at the thought of their music. The band is now sharing their story with the release of a new movie. "Where We Are" is being set for global release, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter on July 22, 2014.

Its anticipated there will be a frantic rush for tickets for "Where We Are." Arts Alliance has announced there will be a limited release of "One Direction: Where We Are – The Concert Film" for one weekend on Oct. 11 and 12. There will be more than 10,000 screenings of the film across 3,000 cinemas in more than 50 different countries. Modest! Management, which manages One Direction, and Sony Music Entertainment are working with Arts Alliance on this release.

This concert film was recorded at AC Milan’s San Siro soccer stadium during the Italian leg of their most recent global tour.

Along with the live concert, this film features a 15-minute interview with exclusive behind the scenes footage. The film is being produced by Fulwell 73 and Simon Cowell as executive producers. This is the same team that worked together on One Direction’s previous cinematic release "This Is Us" in 2013.

One Direction has officially announced the new concert movie "Where We Are", reports The Independent. The British band has confirmed news of the film’s release via video. After this video hits cinemas on Oct. 11 and 12, a DVD will follow on Dec. 1.

After coming in third place on "The X Factor" in 2010, and being hand-picked by Simon Cowell during the audition process; One Direction became an overnight success. "This Is Us" followed One Direction on their 2013 world tour and was the fourth highest grossing concert film in history, grossing $28.9 million at the global box office. This film became the fastest selling music DVD in the history of the U.K. as well, with 270,000 copies sold in its first three days of its release. "Where We Are" is destined for similar success as One Direction continues to dazzle fans with great entertainment worldwide.
