One Direction goes wild in London with 'Midnight Memories' music video

U.K. pop group One Direction premiered the music video for "Midnight Memories" on Friday via Twitter. In the wild clip, the guys of 1D take over the night in London.

"Midnight Memories" is the third single from One Direction's album of the same name. The guys get gritty with this pop-rock track. They deliver another anthemic song, but this one is a lot looser and more mature than their past ones. "People talk shhh but we don't listen," Harry Styles sings over the heavy rock production. Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik follow suit with their wild vocal performances. It's like a grownup version of the "Up All Night" title track served with plenty of attitude.

That attitude from "Midnight Memories" comes alive in the music video, especially with Tomlinson's scenes. It opens with One Direction at a party that is pretty much dead. They head out to the city for some hijinks, which include flirting with some grandmas and kicking it on the Tower Bridge. The last time 1D was in London for a music video was in "One Thing" as dapper young lads, and they return in this latest clip as scruffy men on the lookout for more antics.

One Direction's Midnight Memories album was released in November and became the group's third album to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's albums chart.
