One Direction is getting waxed. The British band is currently on tour, but by the time the guys are ready to introduce the 3D movie This is Us to the fans, there will be waxed figurines in Madame Tussauds so fans can take pictures with the stars. On Monday One Direction announced that the measurements for the waxed lifelike statues were taken and it was only a matter of time before the final results would be seen.
“One month till 1D waxworks hit @TussaudsLondon! Check out these pics of the guys getting measured up! 1DHQ” tweeted One Direction from the band’s official Twitter account. The guys each had the measurements taken so the next step is the artists working their magic to make the statues look like the entertainers.
Oddly the most uniquely measured of the five band members was Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. Showing how the measurements of the face works, Harry allowed people to see what is used to actually measure the size of a human head and the instrument for measuring nostrils. Zayn was measured with a different instrument that gave the length between the artists ear and chin.
Making the figurines lifelike isn't easy, but Madame Tussauds always does a great job. Getting the measurements perfect and then putting it all together, the big reveal next month will have One Direction fans screaming for joy!
