After a week of teasers, One Direction finally released the music video for single “Kiss You.” The playful clip finds the guys having fun in front of different green screens and scenery pieces.
“OK the day has arrived! Who's ready for the BRAND NEW video from the boys?! Here's the official #KissYou video!!” One Direction's team wrote about the video's premiere on Twitter.
The “Kiss You” music video opens like a movie in a theater with Zayn Malik on the road. Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are cruising in a vintage red car behind Malik. Harry Styles then pops up on Malik's motorcycle ride, with Liam Payne as a passenger, before the video's green screen is revealed. In front of a prison setting, the five guys channel Elvis Presley's retro “Jailhouse Rock” film in similar outfits. The scene switch-ups allow One Direction to be skiing in the snow one moment and surfing U.S.A. in another. It's a fun take on the states' '50s culture.
The power pop “Kiss You” follows “Live While We're Young” and “Little Things,” all singles from One Direction's second “Take Me Home” record. The album hit No. 1 on Billboard's albums chart back in November.
