Nabisco, the sponsor for One Direction's sold-out 2013 North American tour, has announced that there will be information on ticket giveaways every Tuesday (beginning June 4, 2013), for a select number of concerts on the tour, as part of a "Tickets Tuseday" promotion. Details can be found at the website 1DVIP.com.
One Direction is the biggest-global selling act to emerge from "The X Factor." One Direction's two-month North American tour in 2013 begins June 13 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.
The tour's tickets went on sale in 2012 and quickly sold out. Another way that fans can win tickets is through local radio contests.
As previously reported, Nabsico announced that 23-year-old blogger/aspiring journalist Kylie Keene of Portland, Me., won the contest to be Nabisco's 1D VIP tour correspondent. As part of the grand prize, Keene will be paid $40,000 to be a part of five concerts on One Direction's North American tour and blog about the experience on 1DVIP.com. The five concerts that Keene will be covering are in Miami (on June 14), in Philadelphia (on June 25), Chicago (on July 13), Dallas (on July 22) and Los Angeles (on Aug. 9).
Keene commented in a Nabisco press release: "I have always loved sharing stories about my life experiences with others. And, the chance to tell a story as cool as this in real-time is an incredible opportunity that I can't wait to bring to people as I travel from city to city. I hope people who are as passionate about 1D and these snack brands as I am will share what they want to hear about on 1DVIP.com. I'm ready to show them that 'first look' in a big way!"
Keene graduated from the University of Maine in 2012 with a degree n journalism. In an interview with Maine Today's Kennebec Journal, Keene, who says Hanson is another one of her favorite groups, commented that when she's on tour with One Direction, she'll be just like the fans at One Direction concerts: "I'll probably be screaming right along with them. We fan girls are a different breed."
And she says that her $40,000 salary will come in handy to pay off her student loans: "I've been out of school for a while, so the student loan payments are due. And I'll probably buy some concert tickets along the way."
Of course, getting a job like this makes Keene the target of jealous One Direction fans. It may or may not be a coincidence, but she has taken down her official website and Twitter accounts.
However, she is still on Twitter as a Young & Free Maine spokester for Maine's Credit Unions, which is another blogging job that she won through a contest. Don't expect her to talk about One Direction on that Twitter page though, since that Twitter page is for Maine's Credit Unions.

In a press release, Nabisco detailed other marketing aspects of its partnership with One Direction:
- New Packaging. For the first time for any Nabisco brand, people will have the chance to access an augmented reality experience featuring the Band on more than 21 million specially-marked packages of Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Cheese Nips, Honey Maid Grahamfuls and Ritz Bitz. Each experience can be unlocked by downloading the 1D VIP app, pointing the mobile device at the package and scanning it to reveal a message from One Direction!
- Mobile - 1D VIP App. Fans can download the free 1D VIP app at either the Apple or Google Play stores, snap a photo of their favorite snack package with a mobile device and unlock an exclusive experience featuring One Direction. Once the experience is opened, fans can continually check back for new content, such as voicemails from One Direction and a cyber-photo booth where fans can create images of themselves with the Band.
- Fan Sweepstakes. One Direction fans can enter for a chance to win VIP concert tickets and private access to one of three concerts through 1DVIP.com or specially-marked packages of Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Cheese Nips, Honey Maid . Check it out before entries close on July 7.
- Showtime. For those lucky enough to have already scored a seat at one of the 35 tour stops, Nabisco will roll out the red carpet with in-venue exit sampling, never-before-seen videos shown during the concert and exclusive photo booth opportunities for attendees.
- 1DVIP.com. Along with the latest from the 1D VIP Tour Correspondent, the newly-launched website, 1DVIP.com, is the place to find summer-friendly recipes using Nabisco's beloved snack brands, tour news and video interviews featuring the band.
- Media. With partnerships that engage fans where they are already socially active, the makers of Oreo, Ritz and Trident are sure to reach fans frequently in the digital and mobile space.
- In-Store. More than 40 retailers nationwide will feature One Direction-inspired custom in-store displays; 21 million promotional packaging will be on shelves across the country; more than 48 million will be reached via FSIs; 20,000 stores featuring shopper marketing activation along with in-store media activations; more than 15 thousand stores will include 1D floor graphics and shopping card advertising
