My floral school offers a wide range of programs from a short seminar and one day seminar to official courses for beginner to professional designers. Among various programs, short seminar is quite popular and many people like it. Not only for European floral designs but also for Japanese Ikebana, we offer short seminars by the title of INTRODUCTORY TRIAL BUDGET PROGRAM (for European arrangements) and IKEBANA SHORT SEMINAR PROGRAM (or Japanese traditional arrangements).
Both of above mentioned short programs are offered due to under mentioned reasons:
*Providing good experience to enjoy floral arrangements. People attending this program can enjoy making flower designs under the guidance of our instructor.
*Providing opportunities to evaluate our lessons before signing up for the official course. Some people want to know how the lesson is done and to what kind of extent they are satisfied with the way we teach.
No matter for which purpose you learn floral designs, for hobby or business, attending our short program (typically 2.5 hour seminar learning 2 designs) is not enough if you want to earn substantial skills of floral arranging. If you really want to earn practical skills of floral designing, you need to continue to learn by taking further lessons. Again it is affordable to attend a short seminar and you can enjoy having a fun and good experience of making floral decoration at quite affordable prices (only $69 for European arrangements and $89 for Japanese Ikebana). However when it comes to earning reasonable skills, you need more practice.
People who already committed to engage in floral business such as running a floral shop or working for a florist as a floral designer, they clearly understand what is mentioned in the above. However some people who do not have any plan to engage in floral business do not understand my opinion mentioned above. Even if you want to earn skills for hobby, you still need to practice and continue learn by taking minimum required lessons.
If they are patient for the period during which you learn by making small amount of investment, most people can successfully earn decent skills of floral decorations with which they can enjoy making and appreciating their own flower arrangements at any time they like.
Some people cannot but stop taking lessons mainly because of lacking fund, which I can easily understand. Those kind of people can come back to our school after saving a certain amount of money with which they can resume taking lessons. Actually we have some students who come back to our school to resume taking lessons after saving some money.
Regardless of the purpose you learn floral designs, for hobby or business, attending short seminar helps you understand what the floral arrangement is and also evaluate the way we teach to each student. If you would like to experience European floral arrangement or Japanese Ikebana, we recommend you to try above mentioned short programs. People who live in the San Francisco Bay Area or Silicon Valley (San Jose), it is easy to commute to and from our school. For further information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
