With just one camera, over 30 students enrolled in an Arts Education program pulled off the productions of a feature film - Luvin’ My History; Celebration of Praise. The very first Black History Documentary of its kind, combining arts and education, making learning simple and fun without the violence.
People Involved in Motivating Our Students Higher (PIMOSH) is a non-profit Arts & Education firm on a mission to make learning simple and fun. For this project, extremely talented students ranging in age from 6 months to 15, along with high school and college interns, parents, and community members - over 60 people involved in this little project that could.
The journey begins with simple definitions of “What is History?” The remaining journey takes the watcher to the Transatlantic slave trade as depicted by Stephen Hayes Cash Crops Exhibit (Courtesy of Harvey Gantt Center/Charlotte, NC), a visit to Martin Luther King Monument/Washington, DC, talks about the Chocolate Political Party, Interviews from youth to elders and all in between. Explore what politics mean to US citizens (adults and kids), and the ultimate celebration of praise for our 1st African American President Barack Obama.
