February has been a very active month for agents with the Polk County Narcotic’s Enforcement Team. A Rockmart man has been arrested after a search of his apartment resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine.
According to Captain Michael McGee, the Narcotics Enforcement Team received information regarding the illegal distribution of illegal narcotics at 612 Golden Street, apartment number four in Rockmart. The information received was sufficient enough to allow officers to secure a search warrant for the apartment.
Reginald Dejuan Wheeler, 25, was arrested and charged as a result of the investigation and the execution of the search warrant.
Wheeler was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of drug related objects.
Wheeler was also booked in on an unrelated charge of simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and a warrant for probation violation.
