‘One and done’ 'Seinfeld' reunion is coming soon

Jerry Seinfeld is finally talking about that mysterious sighting at New York City’s Tom’s Restaurant. On Jan. 30, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that several members of the “Seinfeld” cast will be reuniting for some sort of project.

Earlier this month Seinfeld, Jason Alexander and show co-creator Larry David were spotted walking into the New York City diner that was known as Monk’s on the hit ‘90s sitcom, and rumors swirled that the mini reunion was for either a Super Bowl commercial or an episode of Seinfeld's “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

But when Seinfeld made a guest appearance on a New York City radio station on Thursday morning, he put the kibosh on those ideas. But then he added this disclaimer: “But it is not not those things, either.”

Ugh! So, what is it?

Seinfeld isn’t saying. “It's a secret project," he dished, revealing that other cast members were involved in filming. Alexander will be playing George Costanza, while David worked in a production role. The "shortish-form” reunion is said to be coming "very, very soon,” according to Seinfeld, who added it’s a “one-and-done” deal.

One person who doesn’t seem to be involved in the top secret project is co-star Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The “Veep” star told E! News she hadn’t heard about the Tom’s Restaurant get-together and said, "First of all, thank you for telling me about it. I didn't know they went so that sounds like fun."

She also added, "We sort of did a Seinfeld reunion within ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ [back in 2009]. We sort of did the anti-reunion on ‘Curb’ a couple years ago. So I think it went pretty well. I think that we did it.”
