"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" debuts in the fall 2013 television season, a spin-off of the wildly popular "Once Upon a Time" television show. Spoiler TV released a ton of interesting "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" spoilers and information on Sept. 3 about the upcoming show.
"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" will center on the character of Alice, as the name of the show suggests and will take place after her adventures. It will include some faces that are very familiar to the fans of the original "Once Upon a Time," but will also introduce its own unique cast of characters as well.
The plot will see Alice escape from an asylum and head out to Wonderland to save her lost love Cyrus the Genie. The show's creators said this show will follow the same model as the original show, which means lots of flashbacks and characters not turning out to be exactly how viewers might expect them to be.
Big casting news for "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" is the arrival of Naveen Andrews, who will play Jafar from "Aladdin." Fans know Andrews from his role of Sayid on "Lost." Also up for the season are the characters of Grendel from "Beowulf," proving that the fairy tales shown here extend beyond the Disney flavor.
"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" premieres on Oct. 10 on ABC.
