"Once Upon a Time" fans who ship Swan Queen weren't very happy when Happy the Dwarf actor Michael Coleman attacked them on Twitter, but was his bad behavior enough to get his character killed off?
TV Line seems to think so. A Jan. 1 listicle titled "New Year's Deathwatch: 24 TV Characters We Suspect Won't Make It Out of 2014 Alive" includes Happy the Dwarf, and the report says that Coleman's Twitter battle with fans might lead to his character's demise. "The dwarf's portrayer Michael Coleman recently invited blowback from not just fans but a show boss and multiple castmates when he spoke out on Twitter against the SwanQueen 'ship," TV Line writes.
Coleman upset fans who would love for Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina/the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) hook up by tweeting that no one involved with "Once Upon a Time" wants to see the pairing happen. According to The Daily Dot, one of his tweets read, "You guys are welcome to ship what you like… but it's not gonna happen nor do cast or creators want it to happen."
Most Swan Queen shippers aren't stupid—they probably already know that their dream won't come true. After all, Robin Hood has been revealed as Regina's true love, and Emma is already involved in a love triangle with Hook and Nealfire. However, Coleman really upset the shippers by insinuating that Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parrilla dislike them. "It's funny how rude the #SnowQueen fans have become. It's noticed by all cast. Jen & Lana included. Doesn't look good on you," he tweeted. He later deleted these tweets and a slew of others attacking the "OUAT" fans who dare to dream up their own love stories for the show. Parrilla and Morrison eventually stepped in to let their fans know that Coleman doesn't speak for them and that they really do love their Swan Queen shippers.
Killing off Happy on "OUAT" because Coleman upset a few fans seems a little extreme, but the character doesn't really have a big role on the show. So do you think that Happy should get the pickax because of Coleman's Twitter tantrum?
