The last episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 3 was a sad one and most viewers were not expecting Neal to die. However, there may be something good to look forward to according to an April 2 post by TV Line. It has to do with Regina and whether she will be able to open up her heart and allow love into her life again.

Warning: If you do not want to know "Once Upon a Time" season 3 spoilers, then stop reading.

Regina is not the easiest person to love and she keeps her heart and emotions safe, not wanting to risk being hurt. On a recent episode, she was going to go as far as to rip her heart out of her chest and bury it in order to stop feeling the heartbreak of losing Henry. So what does the future hold for Regina and her heart? Will she ever be able to love again or will she be closed off emotionally forever? Co-creator Edward Kitsis said,

"Regina has a very hard time being happy. It frightens her. And she has spent so much time suppressing things, that when she faces them she’s not sure how to react. So for us, its about wanting to explore when and how will Regina open her heart, and to whom."

That definitely sounds like she will allow love into her heart, although it doesn't say when. Fans could see it happen rather quickly or it might be a process that could take a very long time. As for who could capture her heart, it seems obvious that it will be with Robin Hood. However, one of the things about "Once Upon a Time" that makes it such a good show is that fans are always being surprised.

Viewers will just have to wait and see if Regina will indeed open up her heart, how long it will take for that to happen and if she and Robin Hood will get together or not.

The next episode of "Once Upon a Time" is titled "It's Not Easy Being Green" and will air on April 6.
