The mid-season premiere of "Once Upon a Time" season 3 returns tonight and fans couldn't be more excited to see their favorite fairy tale characters again. There have been plenty of spoilers and speculations, especially regarding Zelena, the Wicked Witch. On March 9, Zap2It reported what Lana Parrilla had to say about the new villain as well as her own character.

Warning: If you do not want to know "Once Upon a Time" season 3 spoilers, then stop reading.

Lana Parrilla plays Regina/The Evil Queen on "OUAT" and she had plenty to say about her own character as well as the Wicked Witch. She said that even though the second half of season 3 will be focusing on Zelena, the Evil Queen will not lose her mean streak.

"Regina still has some secrets up her sleeve," Parrilla teased to Zap2it. "We definitely will still see some evil this season. It's just with different people. The evil queen isn't dead. She's just evolved."

So what does the Wicked Witch want? Lana said that the new villain is not about revenge, but something else. Although she couldn't give details because it would spoil it, she did say that Zelena is a very jealous woman who wants what other people have. She is angry and people are going to get hurt.

Some fans have been speculating that it has to do with jealousy over a man, Robin Hood in particular. Since jealousy is an issue, that very well could turn out to be true. The actress did reveal that Regina and Robin Hood will cross paths on the mid-season premiere. However, she won't notice if there are any sparks because she is still grieving the loss of Henry. Their relationship will slowly build but there will a lot of tension at first.

In a surprising twist, Snow White is going to help Regina deal with the loss of her son. She will continue to mourn and she doesn't let go easily. Lana explained,

"You're going to see her continue to grieve. As we've learned, she doesn't let go very easily. She holds on to these emotions and feelings and losses. I mean, look how long it took her to get over Daniel. Over 28 years! The loss of Henry is not going to be an easy one for her. She'll be in this space for quite some time."

Parrilla also revealed some information on the war between Regina and the Wicked Witch. It turns out that it will begin tonight and carry on to the end of season 3.

"Zelena has a connection to a character and I think that's going to be very fun for many people to find out," Lana teased. "The battles that take place are very crippling at times. People will get hurt, people will be wounded. I would say that it's going to be a delicious second half of the third season."

For season 3, viewers can look forward to jealousy, revenge, power, magic, flirtation, sexual tension, family, love and Mary Margaret's pregnancy.

"Once Upon a Time" season 3 premieres on March 9.
