The news that “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” was being cancelled, though disappointing, was not unexpected. Fans have wondered what will become of some of their favorite characters. At least one will be making the jump to Storybrooke and “Once Up[on a Time” according to an April 1 report on Entertainment Weekly. Let’s hope this isn’t an April Fool’s Day joke!

The Knave of Hearts is headed to Storybrooke. Michael Socha is slated to become a series regular for season 5 of “Once Upon a Time,” assuming the series is picked up for a fifth season. This is considered to be a sure thing but ABC hasn’t confirmed any of its 2014-15 renewals yet. According to the report, when that renewal is announced, the OUAT producers will exercise the option to bring Socha on board.

In a recent episode of “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” there may have been a touch of foreshadowing as Alice and Cyrus visited the Knave’s home in the little Maine town in search of the Knave’s heart.

There is currently no word on the fate of the other actors from the cancelled fantasy show. Fans of Socha’s will be glad as he was the most clamored-for actor when the cancellation announcement broke. Fans asked for him to be transferred. Looks like the powers that be were listening.

The final episode of “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” airs Thursday, April 3 on ABC. “Once Upon a Time” airs on Sundays on ABC.
