Ariel has finally arrived in the Enchanted Forest. On Sunday, October 27 Wetpaint Entertainment posted a sneak peek for "Ariel," the sixth episode of the third season of "Once Upon a Time," which features the mermaid helping Snow White. The episode will air on Sunday, November 3 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
The show runners previously spoiled that Ariel will appear in Neverland as one of the mermaids on the island, and actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher has been cast in the role. The new episode will not only show Ariel helping the Enchanted Forest characters, but it will also explain her backstory with Prince Eric and Ursula.
Ursula is the second major villain to be revealed this season after Peter Pan, and this time the show also went in a new direction with the character. Ursula is none other than Regina (Lana Parrilla). The clip shows Bandit Snow meeting Ariel and the two talk about true love and go swimming. Then during a party scene, Ariel and Prince Eric meet for the first time and have a connection. The Evil Queen also sends the palace guards after Snow, who ends up jumping off of a cliff.
The Evil Queen sees what is going on and decides to become Ursula to trick Ariel out of her happiness. Parrilla has previously mentioned that Ursula is one of her favorite characters to play and it's not the first time that a character has been more than one fairytale creature. Mr. Gold is both Rumplestiltskin and the crocodile from Neverland.
Meanwhile, the Storybrooke crew encounters Peter Pan's shadow and it appears to choke Belle in front of Mr. Gold. The new episode will air next week and introduce even more new characters to the series. Tune in to see what Regina does to Ariel as Ursula.
