Everyone knows that Storybrooke isn't picture perfect any longer now that magic has returned. Since Belle can't remember who she is, or anyone else for that matter, she has started going by the name Lacey while she deals with her identity crisis. On March 14 Carter Matt shares that Robert Carlyle, who plays Belle's lover Rumpelstiltskin/ Mr. Gold, is hopeful that she will recover.
Spoiler Alert: If you do not wish to know what happens in future episodes of "Once Upon a Time" do not read any further.
As fans remember, while Mr. Gold was lying on his death bed, he called Belle to tell her that he loved her even if she didn't remember who he was. She said that she could tell that he did even though she didn't know it.
Any time that Gold or anyone else went to visit her in the hospital, she couldn't remember them or even basic things that she liked, such as hamburgers. Fans know already that Lacey, Belle's other persona, isn't as nice and sweet as Belle, and the question is raised as to whether or not Regina and Cora got to her when they visited her to find out where Rumpelstiltskin's dagger was buried.
According to an upcoming episode titled "Lacey" fans will get to see a lot more of the darker, more devious side of Belle. Will they like it?
