'Once Upon a Time' season 4 spoilers: Elsa arrives in Storybrooke

Queen Elsa has finally arrived in Storybrooke. On August 31 The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed the news that a new promo for the upcoming fourth season of "Once Upon a Time" shows Elsa arriving on Main Street, and no one is happy to see her. Elsa, Anna and Kristoff from the Disney animated adventure "Frozen" will all be making their mark on the series, which will pick up after the events of the film. "Once Upon a Time" will return for it's fourth season on Sunday, September 28 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

The new promo is only thirty seconds long by teases how the first half of the new season will play out for the residents of Storybrooke. Elsa, played by actress Georgina Haig, is shown walking down Main Street in her signature blue dress although her face is never shown. With each step she takes, the ground behind her becomes frozen and covered with ice. She passes by Granny's diner, Mr. Gold's shop and some other locations in town, and all the residents see her.

While Elsa may not be the major villain coming for the first half of the fourth season, Regina recognizes that a new threat has entered the town. She is shown standing near Emma Swan and saying "here we go again" in response to seeing Elsa. However, Emma has a more skeptical response to Elsa's presence, since ice is a new problem for the unique town in Maine. Mr. Gold, Mary Margaret, David and Captain Hook all see Elsa walking and have concerned looks on their faces.

On August 31 TVLine posted new details about the new character in the upcoming fourth season of the show. The episodes will pick up after the end of the film, in which Anna (Eizabeth Lail) is preparing for her marriage to Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster). The girls bond after visiting their parents grave, and Elsa gives Anna a wedding surprise. Both Anna and Kristoff are expected to appear in at least six episodes, while Elsa will appear in eight.

Although "Frozen" was released just last fall, the creators of the series became big fans of the film. They decided to incorporate some of the characters into the new season, although Olaf will not be making an appearance. A new character, played by actress Elizabeth Mitchell, is expected to join the cast and have connections to Elsa and Anna. The story line should cover the first half of the fourth season and help set up the new evil in the second half of the season.
