It seems that every time fans turn around, news of a new character or someone returning is hitting the entertainment headlines. Rose McGowan is returning as Cora, which surprised fans because she died in season 2, so she will probably appear through flashbacks. Either that or there will be some major magic to bring her back, but the former is more likely.
Ariel is also coming back and Joanna Garcia Swisher, the actress who plays the mermaid, wouldn't give any clues but she was scheduled to go to Vancouver for filming.
Sean Maguire is returning as Robin Hood and it has been teased that he Regina's true love. This may be great timing for the two since she lost Henry. While he can't be replaced, maybe a little love will help her deal with the pain.
Other characters that are going to return are Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora and IBT speculated that Tinkerbell may also come back.
New characters set to appear include the Wicked Witch, Rapunzel, Lumiere and a young Eva, played by Rebecca Mader, Alexandra Metz, Henri Lubatti and Eva Bourne, respectively. Prince Leopold and Blackbeard will also be introduced in the second half of season 3. Christopher Gorman has also been cast, but as which character has been kept under wraps. However, fans are speculating that he may be romantically involved with Emma.
The second half of "Once Upon a Time" season 3 will air on March 9.
