The return of "Once Upon a Time" season 3 is still a little over a month away, but producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have some juicy spoilers to share with fans of the show. On Jan. 31, Spoilers Guide revealed what they had to say about the characters and what viewers can expect when the show comes back.

Warning: If you do not want to know "Once Upon a Time" season 3 spoilers, then stop reading.

On the mid-season finale, Storybrooke disappeared, Regina cast a spell on Emma and Henry to give them good and happy memories and the episode ended with Hook knocking on Emma's door one year later. So what will happen when the show returns?

Regarding Hook coming to Emma's door, the important question to ask is not "why" but "how" and "when." Horowitz teased that those answers will be revealed quickly when the show returns. As far as Emma's memories, Hook is not going to have an easy time getting Emma to believe. But Horowitz did say,

"The ramifications of this new life of Emma’s that we glimpsed at the end of the winter finale and what would happen if she did regain her memories play a huge part in the second half of the season."

For those interested in the Evil Queen and Robin Hood, Horowitz said that the two characters have a connection and that their stories are going to intersect. Kitsis added,

"We set something up for a reason. We’re really going to explore what that meant and what happens when these two people meet. We’re going to see what happens when Regina has a second chance at love."

As for new characters, there are going to be a "whole bunch" of newcomers. Tink, Ariel and some old favorites will return. As fans already know, the Wicked Witch and Lumiere are two new characters that will be introduced. But Horowitz made it clear,

"We have a whole bunch of fun people popping up, but it’s in service of focusing on the core group of characters and the problem that you saw outlined in the winter finale."

Ginnifer Goodwin is pregnant and that is in the storyline for her character. Horowitz said,

"We’ll deal with the realities of her pregnancy, but how we do it, we’re not ready to share. When you saw Snow saw her secret about that, it was well before we knew Ginny was pregnant. We’re telling the story that we’ve been setting up since the beginning of the season."

He also added that having a child tends to attract chaos, so it definitely sounds like there will be a lot of drama surrounding that.

As far as Regina is concerned, Horowitz said that her losing Henry and how it affects her will be explored. Kitsis elaborated,

"She definitely wants to have another child, but for right now, she’s not thinking about that. She just lost one. For Regina, it’s what is going to make her heal again and where is she going to go. We know she filled the hole in her heart by doing the most selfless thing we’ve ever seen. She did what’s best for Henry and gave him up to Emma, her sworn enemy, so they can have a better life. What happens when she returns to the Enchanted Forest? She needs to fall in love first. Right now, she’s not open to anything."

"Once Upon a Time" season 3 returns on March 9.
