It looks like there will be a new pirate in town during the second half of season 3 of “Once Upon A Time.” According to a Jan. 23 report by Enstarz, the producers have put out a casting call for Blackbeard. There are more season 3 spoilers ahead so read at your own risk!
In case you can’t place the name, he is the literary pirate from “Treasure Island.” According to the casting call, he will only appear in one episode but his actions toward Hook are described as dastardly.
The report also mentions the first meeting between Belle and Lumiere, the French-accented candelabra from “Beauty and the Beast.” So far all show co-creator Adan Horowitz has said of the meeting is that it will be tied to the time Belle spent with Rumplestiltskin. We’re assuming he means in Rumple’s castle before he fell in love with Belle.
We have heard that one of the show’s major characters will die in the second half of the season. Both Horowitz and co-creator Edward Kitsis have said it could be any of the main characters except for Rumplestiltskin. Could Blackbeard be coming to kill Hook? That would be dastardly!
We are more eager than ever for the March 9 return of “Once Upon a Time.” How about you?
