One thing that fans everywhere know is that the new villain will be the Wicked Witch and Rebecca Mader has been cast to play the part. A few weeks ago it was revealed that Wicked's name is Zelena and will have connections to more than one character. Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma on the show said that Zelena could be the "most terrifying villain" they have had on "OUAT" because her desires and intentions are not clear.
There will also be another witch arriving in Storybrooke, only this one will be the Good Witch.
Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) will meet up in the Enchanted Forest. It is being reported that the two will meet again under "interesting" circumstances.
Snow White and Prince Charming, played by Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas respectively, are expecting not only in real life but also on the show. Don't expect it to be an entirely cheerful event because there is a rumor that the baby will bring chaos.
Viewers will meet Rapunzel, but she won't be like she was in the storybooks. Alexandra Metz will be playing the role and Kitsis revealed that the show will be getting darker and freakier. A spoiler stated that Charming would go to Rapunzel's tower, but a hooded character wouldn't be far behind him.
Ariel will also be returning in the second half of season 3 and there will be a battle between Hook and Blackbeard.
Christopher Gorham of "Covert Affairs" will be joining the cast in "Once Upon a Time" season 3, but the details of his character are being kept under wraps. There are theories that he will be Emma's new love in New York City. One spoiler reported that she believes that her new boyfriend is a good man, but there is more underneath the surface.
Hook will try to get Emma to remember her family, but it won't be an easy task. Even though she doesn't remember him, she does feel a connection and one report stated that she would even bail him out of jail. He must succeed at some point because a sneak peek shows Emma, Hook and Henry driving away, presumably to Storybrooke.
Finally, there will be a major character death, although fans have no idea who it could be. Speaking of deaths, some viewers are wondering if any deceased characters will return, but Kitsis and Horowitz have said that the deaths that occurred in Storybrooke were real.
"Once Upon a Time" season 3 returns on March 9.
