The "Once Upon a Time" season 3 finale will be airing on ABC this Sunday and viewers are looking forward to finding out what will happen. On May 6, WetPaint posted spoilers for the final episode of the season. So what can fans looks forward to?
First, the season finale is not going to be just one episode, it is going to be a two-part finale. Episode 21 is titled "Snow Drifts" and episode 22 is "There's No Place Like Home." Both parts of the season finale will air on May 11. Even though many things are being kept under wraps, the showrunners have revealed some teasers and sneak peeks.
The official synopsis for the season finale of "Once Upon a Time" states that Emma and Hook will be sucked into Zelena's time portal. They will end up in the Enchanted Forest in the past. Because they are in the past, they have to be very careful because even one tiny altered move could change history not just for themselves, but for everyone they know.
WetPaint is speculating that they will arrive around the events of season 1, episode 3. That episode was titled "Snow Falls" and featured Snow White and Charming. If Emma and Hook change anything, they could risk Emma's parents not falling in love.
The synopsis also reveals that there will be some old characters returning. Viewers can expect to see Princess Abigail, Geppetto, King Midas, Blackbeard, Aurora and Sir Maurice. Blue and Red will also be making an appearance. It will be interesting to see which characters will be shown in the present and which ones will appear as flashbacks.
There is also the celebration of Snow and Charming's new baby boy. While that name hasn't yet been revealed, actress Ginnifer Goodwin did say that the name is "absolutely significant" and that the name was an excellent and unexpected move.
During the mid-season break, it was teased that there would be a wedding on the "Once Upon a Time" season 3 finale. Fans were guessing which characters would tie the knot and on the last episode, Rumple asked Belle to marry him. However, some fans are wondering if they won't make it to the alter after Rumple betrayed Belle's trust. Could it make her change her mind about marrying him? If so, then which other characters will tie the knot?
It has been teased that "Once Upon a Time" season 4 will go someplace new, which is interesting since the title of the last episode of season 3 is "There's No Place Like Home." Some fans have a theory that the setting for the next season will be linked to the time travel. So where besides Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest will the characters end up next season?
Are you looking forward to the season finale of "Once Upon a Time?" What do you think is going to happen on the two-part epic finale? Make sure to set your DVR's for May 11 and remember, it will be a two hour event.
