There has been a recent spate of casting news coming out of the “Once Upon a Time” camp and it means only one thing…we aren’t far from the return of season 3! It was just recently we learned ABC was looking for an actress to play Glinda the Good With and according to a Feb. 14 on Spoiler TV, they’ve found her in Sunny Mabrey.

Mabrey will no doubt be integral to the plot line involving Rebecca Mader’s Wicked Witch character, who we know will be the major baddie in the second half of season 3. Sunny, 38, may be familiar to fans from shows like TNT’s “Memphis Beast” and Lifetime’s “The Client List”.

OUAT fans won’t meet Glinda until later this spring. Word is Glinda will be emerging from years or lonely isolation which has left her cautious. She is described as being “elegant, wise and benevolent,” as well as being “wise, clever and shrewd.”

In other casting news, Matt Carter reports that “Once Upon a Time” has cast Charles Mesure in a mystery role for season 3. Mesure, an alum of such shows as that “Xena: Warrior Princess,” “V,” and “Desperate Housewives” was announced as a new member of the cast in tweet by executive producer Adam Horowitz.

Mesure himself tweeted that he was in Vancouver, wearing the “coolest” costume and that he was involved in a lot of action scenes that had him “fighting” and “Leaping around.” That doesn’t give us much to go on in terms of who he might be playing and we can’t wait to find out!

“Season 3 of “Once Upon a Time” returns Sunday, March 9 on ABC.
