"Once Upon a Time" is no stranger to heartbreak and keeping characters apart from those they love, and in episode 212, "In the Name of the Brother," for which ABC released promotional photos on Tuesday, Jan. 15, that will be true once again.
This "Once Upon a Time" episode is a big one for David Anders. In Storybrooke, Dr. Whale is the one who has to mend Hook's injuries and operate on the stranger (Ethan Embry) who crashed into Storybrooke as the previous episode ended. However, the townspeople are worried this stranger could have seen magic and could expose them to the outside world, leading to some to think that they'd be better off leaving him to die. Back in the fairytale land that was, Victor is determined to prove to his disapproving father that he can bring back the dead. Meanwhile, Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) is going to be tasked with trying to reunite with Belle (Emilie de Ravin), who now no longer knows who he is after Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) shot her and caused her to fall over the town line. And speaking of reunions, Cora (Barbara Hershey) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) will be coming face to face.
The "In the Name of the Brother" photos, which you can see in the slideshow at the top of this article, show Mary (Ginnifer Goodwin), David (Josh Dallas), and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) joining Belle and Mr. Gold at the edge of town, as well as a look at fairytale land that was and Victor and his brother Gerhardt (Chad Michael Collins) in a cemetery.
