Today, January 19th 2014 E!online caught up with Jamie Chung, who plays Mulan on "Once Upon a Time" and discussed Mulan's possible return to the show.

Audiences were introduced to Mulan in Season Two. She helped Prince Philip rescue Aurora (Sarah Bolger) then helped Belle (Emilie de Ravin) defeat the Yaoguai who actually turned out to be Prince Philip before Belle decided to return to the Dark Castle and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). She was abducted by the Evil Queen before she could reach him, and spent 28 years in the asylum before returning to her true love.

At the end of the first half of Season Two, viewers suspected where Mulan's heart truly lay when she returned Aurora's heart to her after it had been stolen to be used for Cora (Barbara Hershey) to manipulate. There was a heart-stopping moment when Mulan returned Aurora's heart into her chest, and viewers could feel the connection building between the two characters.

In Season Three, Mulan assisted Baelfire (Michael Raymond-James) with the help of Aurora and Philip when he fell through the portal at the end of Season Two just after reuniting with his father Rumplestiltskin and his son Henry Mills.

She then helped him to Neverland to rescue Henry and Emma Swan. Mulan, after a heart-to-heart with Robin Hood, returned to Aurora's castle to proclaim her love, it would seem but left broken hearted to join the Merry Men when Aurora revealed she was expecting Prince Philip's child.

According to the interview, Jamie Chung was not surprised that Mulan had fallen in love with Aurora.
"When I was filming [Mulan's scenes with Aurora], it was like an ongoing inside joke between Sarah and I. Like, 'I secretly really care about you,' Chung recalled. She was secretly delighted that the audience had shared the same idea, as it had felt like the natural storyline's progression and suspected it's what the writers had planned all along.

When asked if she'd return as Mulan, Ms Chung came back with a resounding yes.
"Are you kidding me? I think it would be really disappointing to leave the audience with this giant question mark. I would go back in a heartbeat."

Ms. Chung is currently shooting another series, "Believe" but would make time in her schedule to return as Mulan and finish the love triangle between Mulan, Aurora and Prince Philip.
