Captain Hook features prominently in the upcoming episode of “once Upon A Time”, “Good Form.” In a recent interview posted on Zap2It on Oct. 25, O’Donoghue dishes about brothers, kisses and the Neverland connection.
In the flashback, we’ll see Hook before he became a pirate, as naval officer Killian Jones serving under his brother, Captain Liam Jones. According to Colin, despite the close quarters and the fact they are brothers, the two are very close. Colin says:
“[Liam and Killian] travel to this uncharted island or land to find a very power plant. It can help heal any injury. They're both Naval officers and you can see Killian Jones as a completely different person than you would've ever seen [Captain Hook] before."
When asked about whether or not they end up on Neverland, the Irish-born actor had this to say:
"You'll have to wait and see if there's any kind of connection to Neverland. It's mostly about their relationship and parallels between that relationship and Hook deciding to help David try and figure a way to get out of the situation he's in with the Dreamshade."
Colin also revealed that fans will learn exactly what happened to drive Killian off the path of the straight and narrow and set him on his course to becoming a pirate. We will see him make the decision to become a pirate and what caused it.
On the subject of the kiss Hook shares with Emma, Colin added:
"There has been a connection with Hook and Emma since the get-go. There's some sort of mutual attraction there. It's a complicated situation because they believe that Neal is dead and obviously Hook has this relationship with Baelfire ... he was very much willing to give up everything to become basically his surrogate father, I guess. It's a complicated thing, approaching that. But -- they kiss, so. That's what happens."
He warns this doesn’t necessarily mean they jump into a romantic relationship. They are, after all, still on a mission to save Henry and that comes first and foremost.
O’Donoghue also teased that a face-to-face encounter with Pan is not far off. They have a history and how their relationship plays out will be interesting to watch.
