I’m really excited for this episode! All of the episodes shedding light on Killian Jones’ colorful character have been some of the series’ best. “The Jolly Roger” looks like another stellar installment. We’ll meet Black Beard, discover Ariel’s confrontational history with Hook, and we’ll see Regina give Emma magic lessons.

Here is ABC’s official description:

ARIEL PLEADS WITH HOOK TO HELP HER FIND PRINCE ERIC, AND EMMA AGREES TO LET REGINA TEACH HER HOW TO USE MAGIC TO HELP DEFEAT ZELENA, ON ABC’S "ONCE UPON A TIME"

JoAnna Garcia Swisher Guest Stars as Ariel

“The Jolly Roger” – Ariel returns to Storybrooke and pleads with Hook to help her find Prince Eric, who never returned to the town when the new curse was invoked. Emma agrees to let Regina teach her how to use magic so that she can help defeat Zelena, and Mary Margaret and David try to prove that they can be just as much fun as Hook is with Henry -- who thinks they are boring. Meanwhile, in Fairy Tale Land during the past year, an angry Ariel confronts Hook over her missing Prince Eric, who she assumes was kidnapped and possibly killed by the swarthy pirate. But when Hook confesses that the Jolly Roger has been stolen and Eric is most likely the thief’s prisoner, Ariel unknowingly provides him with a clue as to who the culprit is, and Hook – with Ariel in tow - goes off in search of his ship, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, APRIL 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Michael Raymond-James as Baelfire/Neal Cassidy, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Guest starring are Beverley Elliott as Granny, Rebecca Mader as Zelena, Christopher Gauthier as Smee, JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Ariel, Gil McKinney as Prince Eric, Charles Mesure as Black Beard, JC Williams as lead guard and Jessa Danielson as wench.

The Jolly Roger” was written by David H. Goodman and directed by Ernest Dickerson.

That all sounds pretty awesome, right?

Ariel and Hook are literally at each other’s throats. Since Ariel reaches out to Hook for help in the present day, I’m guess things end well between the two of them. As we know, Hook has a knack for flirting and fighting all in one smooth move. Will he be able to help Ariel find Eric? Can the Jolly Roger still travel to distant lands despite Zelena’s new curse? Why didn’t Eric come to Storybrooke with everybody else? Does Zelena have him locked up somewhere? Does she plan on using him as leverage against Ariel?

I’m getting a little concerned. Zelena doesn’t seem to have much of a conscience. Luckily, we have more goodies to distract us from our worries!

In the embedded sneak peek, Emma candidly chats with Hook. She addresses her magic lessons with Regina and makes it clear that she still hasn’t been won over by Hook’s alluring charms. Nonetheless, she still entrusts Henry in Hook’s care. Maybe that’s because Henry finds the dashing pirate amusing, unlike his boring grandparents (poor David and Snow). The clip also leaves us hanging as Hook remains very cryptic about his experiences during the last year. I’m very curious to see what he endured to find Emma and Henry in New York.

One thing is for sure, Hook has come a long way. We’ve seen his growth from dutiful Killian Jones, to a vengeful pirate and now he is making more than amends for his wrongdoings. I’m excited to see what others sides of Hook will be revealed this week.

What are you most excited to see in “The Jolly Roger”? Do you think there will be some more surprises in store? Do you think Emma is doing the right thing by wanting to take Henry back to New York once Zelena is defeated?

Are you excited to see Black Beard? It looks like he steals the Jolly Roger from Hook, which means the fearsome pirate is in a heap of trouble. No one can commandeer Hook’s ship. Will Hook defeat Black Beard? Will Black Beard pop up in Storybrooke?
