During episode 12 of “Once Upon A Time” an injured Hook wastes no opportunity to flirt shamelessly with Emma. “In the Name of the Brother” aired Sunday Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.
When episode 11 ended, Mr. Gold and Captain Hook had come face to face at Storybrooke’s town line. As an oncoming car approached, Gold used his magic and Hook was hit by the vehicle.
When Emma and the others arrive, Hook is writhing in pain on the ground but still exchanging taunts with Gold. Gold s in a rage because the shot Hook fired at Gold instead hit Belle and knocked her over the town line causing her to lose her memory. Gold stomps over to Hook and kicks him in his broken and mangles ribs. Emma puts an end to it and separates the two.
Emma kneels down to check on Hook. She asks him about Cora and he starts flirting but it doesn’t get interesting until they get to the hospital.
There, Emma is waiting in Hook’s room while he sleeps. Upon waking, she asks him where Cora is. He tries to move and realizes she has him handcuffed to the bed. Hook says, “Again? You’re really into this, aren’t you?” The comment refers to the time when she tied him up and left him with the giant but the twinkle in his eyes implies another meaning, too.
She repeats her question and he tries to disarm her with charm again. This time he tells Emma how good she looks while asking about Cora in such an authoritative tone and gives her one of leering smiles. Having none of his shenanigans, she warns him that he has many sore places she can hurt and jostles his bed to prove it. Wincing in pain, he claims he has no idea where Cora is.
Next he asks Emma if he might have his hook back, waving the stump of his arm at her. He coyly adds, “Or is there another attachment you might prefer?” Emma barely cracks a smile at this come on.
While Emma doesn’t respond to his advances, the exchanges between them seem to indicate their mutual interest. Will there be a Hook-Emma hook-up in the future? She does seem to go for swarthy bad boy types and Hook is the Captain of them all so far. Tune in next week to see if Hook and Emma inch closer to something a little more intimate on “Once Upon A Time.”
