Part of the fun of watching “Once Upon A Time” is wondering which fictional characters will be added to the cast and when. Wetpaint discussed several characters that will be making an appearance in the not too distant future in their Oct. 23 report.
When the show’s creators, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis appeared at New York’s Comic-Con, they talked about the new characters and how they are always thinking about who to bring in next and under what context. Ursula, the sea witch from The Little Mermaid will turning up pretty soon and we’re told there will be a twist to her character we’re not expecting. Ariel and her prince are set to appear then, too.
The bigger news is that down the road we will be treated to both Rapunzel and Cruella de Vil. Since OUAT doesn’t really do the damsel in distress thing – have you seen most of the heroines? – It’s likely Rapunzel will be something more than just a tower prisoner, too.
As for Cruella, a new villain is always exciting. Her presence will have to tie into Archie’s dog, Pongo but more than that we can’t speculate on.
What do think? Will the new characters be short, story-arc characters or will they stick around? Who would you want to see play them?
Tune in for the next episode of “Once Upon A Time” on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. on ABC.
