If the people of Storybrooke didn’t initially suspect Regina, well then something wouldn’t be right. Thankfully, Emma does not believe Regina is behind the curse. The two of them team up in order to covertly discover who cursed the town. Emma and Regina working together is fantastic. They have always had an enjoyable banter between them. The writers balance out the funny with some great moments about Henry. Regina and Emma have developed quite a bond, at least where Henry is concerned. It is entertaining to watch the two of them work together, especially since it is just the two of them and not an ensemble. Did you enjoy Regina and Emma working together?

The Wicked Witch connection is finally discovered by our favorite group of fairytale characters. What is great is that the revelation happens in both the flashback and the present day Storybrooke. Viewers don’t have to wait for one group to get caught up with everyone else. In Storybrooke they still don’t know what she looks like, so there is still that to play with. The writers have both groups figure it out again, and not so shocking, the same clues give her away. There is something funny about the flashback scene where they all are confused that Oz is a real place and not just a movie. Typically these reactions come from people other than those who are from the Enchanted Forest, so it is nice to see them find out that a story is true. Did anyone else find that hilarious?

There are two twists in this episode. Right now, it is hard to figure out what to think of the sister twist. The Wicked Witch’s motives certainly make since. She is jealous that Regina was the chosen child. What is still unclear is why it took her so long to come after Regina. The writers will definitely need to explain the timing. Has the Wicked Witch been hanging out in Regina’s castle for a while, simply waiting for Regina to return? The other twist of the night is that Rumple is alive. What is great about this is that Rumple says, “you shouldn’t have brought me back,” which does imply that he was actually dead. He sacrificed himself in order to save others, and he did not have some magical back up plan. What are your thoughts on these twists?
