Once Upon a Child is a great source for moms on a budget. Because of their popularity the stores are always well stocked. They carry all brands of clothes, not just designer labels. This is good for two reasons: 1) they have a large selection of very inexpensive clothes and 2) they won't turn away your items to sell because they aren't trendy enough.
They do limit what they buy based on the season. Call ahead if you have any questions on what they're buying. You also might want to ask when would be the best time to bring in your resale items - but no appointments are needed.
If you're interested in selling your baby's used items make sure they're clean and spot free. Once Upon a Child inspects everything for quality control before making an offer on it. Don't be surprised if not all of your items make the cut. Have a backup plan for rejected items - they can still go to Goodwill or the Salvation Army and earn you a tax deduction.
Once Upon a Child has locations in Arnold, Kirkwood, Ballwin, Creve Coeur and St. Peters. They buy and sell baby and children's clothes, toys, books and baby gear. Click here for a complete list of the things they buy and sell.

I think they are a joke. I recently visited the Fairview Heights store and most of their inventory looked like it should be put out at a garage sale. I tried to sell some of my daughter's clothes and they rejected them saying they were out of style. What??? They were from last summer. Some of the stuff I seen hanging on the rack looked like it was from 10 years ago. I'll never waste my time there again.
