Every once in a while, there’s a need to indulge in reality checks, visit the sanity of the real world and basically, ask the important questions. Here’s a good one. How is that ‘Moving Forward’ working out for the country?
Mainstream media will have you believe, the country and it’s economy is moving so fast, most Americans are being left behind and in a sense, if you’re a follower of the ‘make believe,' that’s so true.
The country is moving forward with such great speed, President Obama has decided to leave behind his ‘Council on Jobs and Competitiveness,’ which was created with much theatrics back in 2011, but didn’t maintain the status quo. Supposedly, this council would serve as ‘a means of gathering input from the business community on economic issues, from reducing unemployment to boosting American competitiveness.’
After only four meetings, which only produced a unemployment rate of once again, 7.9 percent, they’ve served their purpose. This is called, theatrics my fellow Americans.
‘Moving Forward’ at the speed of light has also, once again produced some very disturbing jobs numbers. According to the latest report, ‘U.S. employers added 157,000 jobs in January, and hiring was stronger at the end of last year than previously thought, providing reassurance that the job market held steady even as economic growth sputtered.'
It’s important to note here, this administration has witness on a weekly average in January 2013, 352,000 new unemployment claims, which would bring the total number of Americans who lost their jobs during the month of January to 1,478,400 and yet, it’s great news for the Obama administration’s creation of only creating 157,000.
‘Moving Forward’ hasn’t been all that great for the Black unemployment rate, which now ‘stands at 13.6%, up from 13% the month before. The Latino unemployment isn’t faring that much better, but it’s still higher than the national average, rising to ‘11% from 10.3% in April.’
‘Moving Forward’ will eventually find this administration on some distant island, on some distant planet, in some distant universe, looking back and wondering, ‘where is the country.’
Needless to say, once again, in yet another year, the unemployment numbers are consistently ‘Moving Backwards’
