The video attached to this article is dated Aug. 14 and at that time people could sign up to receive an HTC One at Verizon without knowing how soon the phone will actually be available. Now it's clear: HTC One will be available Aug. 22 in Verizon stores and at Verizon.com.
Price: HTC One will cost $199.99 with a new two-year commitment for Verizon service.
Operating system: HTC One uses the Android 4.2.2 operating system, nicknamed Jelly Bean.
Review: Check out CNET's detailed review of the HTC One from earlier this year. They loved this phone, calling it "beautifully crafted" and a "near-ideal smartphone." CNET also noted that T-Mobile sells the HTC One for $99.99 with two-year commitment. Of course T-Mobile has less 4G coverage than Verizon in the USA and often offers lower prices.
In any case the HTC One is a good looking phone and it's worthwhile to know that it will be available in time for back to school shopping.
