On this day in rock history -- Happy birthday March 8 to Micky Dolenz

Happy birthday on March 8 to Micky Dolenz. He turns 65 this year.

Besides being a great vocalist and drummer with the Monkees, Micky was an actor who starred in his pre-Monkee days in the series "Circus Boy."

Here's Micky and the Monkees singing "Last Train to Clarksville."

One of the absolute great rock and roll singers...highly under-appreciated!

Have to agree with Ron. Mr Dolenz was a GREAT vocalist, always thought that he should be asked to join Ringo in his al-starrs lineup, apparently Mickey can play guitar, would certainly be better than Mister Mister in my opinon.

Maclen: I've thought Micky would be a perfect All-Starr. For that matter, any of the Monkees (though Nez would never do it) would.
