On Wed. Aug, 27, 2014, Examiner.com was on the scene for the launch of Duracell's NFL campaign. The event was held at the home to the New York Giants and New York Jets, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The great summer weather was very befitting for the event. At the beginning of the event, acclaimed actor and guest star of the new season of "The Good Wife," Taye Diggs as well as New York Giants linebacker, Jon Beason were welcomed into the stadium with pre-recorded applause.

It was as though we were in the stadium during a game filled with the roar of the crowd and fans. They both had photo opportunities before introducing themselves to the audience. "We are excited to welcome you all here!" Beason said the audience. He then introduced Alex Blar, the senior manager at MetLife Stadium who explained the importance of Duracell batteries. "We trust and rely on Duracell batteries to work on a game day," he explained. "We use it for head sets/ anything that is wireless." Soon after, fifteen-year old Lianah Sta. Ana sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" beautifully. Her performance was used as an example to emphasize how important the Duracell batteries are especially on game day.

Later, a coin toss was done to run live plays on the field and also to split us into teams namely Team Taye and Team Joe. We were told to look at the jumbotron in which there was a screenshot of the footballers during a game, we were then asked to identify the correct arrangement of the players from the three options given to both Team Taye and Team Beason. It turns out that option A was the correct arrangement. After, Joe Beason talked about his helmet and the mic in it which is powered by Duracell batteries. "It's a one-way communication," he explained. "Duracell Quantum, it's changed the game big time!"

It was fun to see how over 650 Duracell Quantum batteries are used to facilitate critical communication on game day including coach-to-player communication, coach-to-coach communication, referee calls and even the national anthem performance. "Quantum is Duracell’s biggest innovation since the CopperTop battery and is the world’s most-advanced alkaline battery ... With its revolutionary Hi-Density Core and proprietary PowerCheck power indicator, the distinctive red and copper battery has been engineered to deliver exceptional performance,"Duracell said in a statement.
