This past weekend, Examiner.com was on the scene at the Disaronno Summer Camp in the Hamptons. It was an exclusive event, which began July 25 and ended today 27, 2014 at the Hotel Capri in Southampton. Famed DJ’s were spinning the hottest tunes while guests enjoyed the popular Disaronno Sour by the pool.
On Friday, July 25, Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception with music by Lawrence Lee. The event was a great mixture of drinks and fun. Disaronno supplied multiple combinations of drink choices, all with a Disaronno base, ranging from ice smoothies to the classic Disaronno on the rocks. They offered berry and pineapple smoothies at an outside bar with great music ambiance in the background. One popular drink was the Disaronno-Redbull. We also met some interesting people by the pool. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of drinks that can be made with Disaronno and will seek it out more often.
On Saturday, July 26, attendees enjoyed a pool party with music by Brenmar, DJ Sliink and BBQ provided by Chalk Point, there was also a mixology class hosted by Handy Liquor Bar, then in the evening there was a party hosted by Galore Editors with music by Becka Diamond and May Kwok. Day Two of Disaronno’s Summer Camp – on Saturda was the place to be for those in dire need of some serious “chillaxation”. I never went to camp as a kid, but I imagine it might have been quite like this.
We arrived right on time for the poolside BBQ. The food was catered by Village hotspot Chalk Point Kitchen and there was a continuous flow of Disaronno Sour specialty drinks. Music by Brenmar and Dj Sliink kept us dancing. And if hanging out by the pool wasn’t enough, there was a steady game going on at the Ping Pong table, some miniature golf, photo booth (of course), and a mixology class.
We even took hold of a little spot on the daybeds to shut our eyes for a few. Some rejuvenation and a switching from sandals to a sexy heel was only appropriate for the Disaronno Cocktail party which only kicked off the night and before I knew it, it was time to head back to the city. I hear people will travel far for a little Hamptons living, and I concur.
Disaronno curated a fabulous mix of art shows, DJs, outdoor performances, pool parties, pop-up shops, mixology classes and many more activities for us to enjoy at the Disaronno Summer Camp. Michelin Star Chef Joe Isidori provided delicious summer fare from the new Chalk Point Kitchen and overall it was a fabulous adventure.
