Def Jam teamed up with New Era Caps for to celebrate their 30th anniversary with a dinner and after party on Jan. 31. The dinner portion of the evening was held at A Voce a very chic restaurant overlooking New York's Columbus Circle and the Hudson River. For the first hour guests drank cocktails and socialized. Once cocktail hour was over, it was time to eat! We enjoyed a salad, an amazing chicken entree, and a blood orange cheese cake for desert.
After dinner, we headed over to the VIP section of Good Units at Hudson Hotel to continue the festivities compliments of New Era Caps. With a bar completely made of ice and a live painting of special guest performer Rick Ross being made the ambiance was electrifying. Ricky Rozay hit the stage with DJ Khalid and Meek Mill to perform some of their smash hits. Fans stood on couches and spill drinks as the 'The Boss' ripped the stage. After the performance, the wheels of steel kept spinning and guests savored the moment. Notable attendees included Peter Rosenberg, Miss Info, Ebro, AZ, Warren Sapp, Vashtie, Michael Eric Dyson, and Peter Gunz.
This week, New Era also hosted a pop up ice cream truck on Super Bowl Boulevard. Comedian Mike Epps who is collaborating with the brand handed cones out to New Yorkers. "I’ve been wearing New Era hats since the beginning of time. I’ve had so many of their hats. I met with the Chris and we came up with to design for some hats. I went up the the company in Niagra Falls and sat with a designer – checked out a couple patterns and came up with my own design and now we got a Mike Epps New Era hat that we’re hoping to launch real soon," Epps told The Source.
