The collection was inspired by "the landscapes and scenery of Louisiana and the bayou. The juxtaposition of reflections, water and sky inspired the blues and natural tones in the Fall 2014 collection. Collection colors include warm neutrals and treys offset with rich Terracotta and cool blues," the designers said. Other color highlights included black, icy treys, navy, camel, pale mauve, blush, mint, burnt orange and mint. Fabrics used included silk, wool and fur. Bumble and Bumble curated the hair looks. Val Garland and the Mac Pro Team did the make up, and OPI designed the nails.

The show's playlist included "Ain't No Sunshine" as covered by Coeur De Pirate, "Murakami" by Made in Heights, and "Hey Clarinette" by the Trapmasters.

We exclusively interviewed "Orange is the New black" star Samira Wiley, who was wearing a BCBGMAXAZRIA “Simone” strapless jumpsuit in bright poppy in the front row. Check out what she had to say!

So what brings you out today?

SW: This is the first show that I ever been a part of and I’m just so excited to be invited and happy to be here and celebrate the artistry of people in the fashion industry and celebrate that and be here for that.

Tell me what you wearing today?

SW: Well, this is BCBG…I love it, it’s a one piece. When you put on clothes, you want to feel good about yourself and putting on BCBG clothes, I always pretty much 100% feel good about myself - feel sexy, feel comfortable all those kind of things.

Can you tell me about how the ride has been with the success of "Orange is the New Black"?

SW: It's all been a lot really fast. A year ago my life was completely different and I'm blessed and thankful and I’m grateful and I'm just kind of riding this wave and trying to be grateful.

Are you finished shooting Season 2 of "OINB" or are you still shooting ?

SW: Yeah, we are finished shooting Season 2, so my part is done and they are in post-production, but I’m just trying to enjoy my hiatus.

What else would you like to share?

SW: I have a movie coming out next month and it's called "Rob the Mob." It stars Andy Garcia, Ray Romano and Michael Pitt. It's based on a true story.

How did you first get involved in "Orange"?

SW: I had an audition for the show just like I have auditions every week for shows and it was something about the script where I just knew that it was special and I really wanted to be part of it, so yeah, just like that.

Australian actress and "The Originals" star Phoebe Tonkin was also excited to be at her first New York Fashion Week event. She decided to attend BCBG because, "It's a brand that I've known since I was younger. It's just such a playful fresh brand and it's just really great."
