In this current epoch of sinfulness, humanity is traveling down a treacherous path. The Bible teaches in Revelations about the end times, and all the horrors that beset us all. These horrors will not be towards us, but rather done by us. People will do evil against one another with no remorse or compassion. There will be darkness beyond any nightmare. Life as some may think it to be, will all vanish incorruptibly, and according to the Will of God.
Beloved, you must “understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people (2 Timothy 3:1-5).”
When you read this passage found in the Book of Timothy, do you not see this happening today? Are not some of these points relatively familiar to you? Children are killing, consuming drugs, watching obscenities, and speaking with expletives. Adults are marrying the same gender, committing adultery, having lustful thoughts and acting upon them. Humanity has already reached the point of ceaselessly sinning with no means of repentance or regards for their fellow man.
There are lions and wolves disguised as innocent lambs roaming about the world, trying to influence the just away from God. There are even Christians who claim to believe in our Precious Lord, who will make haste to terrorize fellow Christians through belligerent confrontation. There are many who will talk a good talk but do evil without the slightest consideration or care.
Christians all over the world are being slaughtered for their beliefs in our Lord. The darkness is consuming the Light from the hearts of all God’s children. People are slowly but surely, forgetting our Lord Jesus. Everyone cares more about themselves than they do others, let alone making time for God.
During these uncertain times, we must come together as one people. Remember that we all are children of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We all were created in the Image of God, the Almighty, and the Creator. Have you forgotten who is in charge in this life?
In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells us to “see that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains (Matthew 24:4-10).”
Beloved followers of Christ do not give in the darkness that will try to penetrate your heart. All that you are, in mind, body and soul, all belong to God. Remember this and keep in constant prayer and repentance. As Christians, you will unremittingly struggle against the current of evil that surrounds you. Do not fear or worry, for our Lord is always with you. Allow Jesus to lead your way and keep the Light alive in your heart until the end.
