If you want a child that loves to read then reading to your child is probably the most important thing a parent can do to encourage the interest in books.  Even a child to young to understand words can be comforted by a soothing voice reading a story.  There is no such thing as "too young" to enjoy the gift that reading gives.  Even at my age, I enjoy children's books for the simple pleasure that they give to my heart.

"On the Night You Were Born" is just that, a simple pleasure to read. This book speaks of how special your child is, that there is no other child exactly like them. It shows how the world, the stars, the moon and the animals, celebrated the night your child was born.  It is also a great book for adopted children because it focuses only on the child. Inside this book is an an affirming message that all children should hear and it embraces that message from cover to cover.  It is a visually beautiful book.  "On the Night You Were Born" is a gentle picture book about celebrating a very special night and the blessings that life can bring.

A book that every child should be given, and read to, until they know without a doubt of how special they are! Adults too could learn much from this book! And if you are giving this book as a gift.... it is a great gift!  And thank you, Nancy Tillman, for a book that can be cherished through time as a family heirloom.  I'm grateful to the author for writing such a beautiful book and I recommend it to all parents!  If you find that you love this book as much as I do, then check out Tillman's book, "The Wonder of You."

For those that have no children.....go ahead, check it out.  I won't tell.
